TheHorseCourse is a distinct methodology with a well-defined programme and a clear theory of change (see Evidence page). The programme's success relies strongly on the style and quality of the horsemanship.
** CURRENT TRAINING/JOB OPPORTUNITY WEYMOUTH 2021 **
We are completely redesigning the way we train people to become facilitators at TheHorseCourse. This is the first ever opportunity to train from scratch onsite at our Weymouth centre. If you are over 18, horsey and passionate about helping people turn their lives around through an evidence-based horsemanship intervention – this could be your big chance!
We are looking for horsey people who are calm and confident and who connect well with other people. It is not essential that you have experience with natural horsemanship but that would be a plus – we will put you through an intensive hands-on training programme for up to 3 months. The most successful trainees will be invited to join our team of full or part-time salaried facilitators. Financial support is available during the training period.
Training will be demanding and assessments will be ongoing and rigorous. If at any time we feel you are not suited to continue, we will stop the training programme and work with you on a plan for self-development so you can apply again when you’re ready.
Application form available here: in Word or PDF format.
Facilitator Training
If you are not in a position to apply for the Weymouth opportunity above, you can still apply for future training opportunities with us using the same application form: Available here in Word or PDF format.
We will be offering our new training programme for people from any horsey background both onsite or through a blended (web & onsite) approach – launching in 2022.

There are often opportunities for trained facilitators to get paid work at our centre or one of our supported hubs.
